Scope
After the
successful move to the centre of Hasselt in 2008, the 2010 15th
anniversary edition of the Hasselt Diamond Workshop will undergo a new change.
To accommodate more time for discussion, networking and poster viewing, for the
first time the meeting will be extended to cover a full three days. While
maintaining a similar number of oral presentations, extended coffee breaks and
poster sessions will give you sufficient time to discuss new collaborations and
joined projects with your colleagues at SBDD XV.
Making use of the excellent facilities of the cultuurcentrum Hasselt, SBDD XV
will be traditionally focused on CVD diamond and advanced carbon materials. The
meeting is addressing a wide variety of topics ranging from fundamental material
science including growth, defects, electrical transport and optical properties,
to related relevant applications in electronics, optoelectronics,
electrochemistry, nano-bioelectronics and quantum computing.
The
meeting will start on Monday morning, February 22, 2010, and will end Wednesday
evening, February 24,
2010.
In
these three
full days, several
invited talks
will
be given, covering different topics.
Topics
-
Diamond growth and doping
-
Properties of
nanodiamond particles and films
-
Physics and
chemistry of diamond surfaces
-
